The Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists has launched a new program: Eye See...Eye Learn. The aim of this program is to promote the importance of eye examinations for children entering the school system. This program offers free eyeglasses, if needed, to any child in pre-primary or primary! To qualify, a child only needs to have an eye examination with a participating optometrist. Eye examinations are covered through MSI for children of this age once every two years.
Vision is so important for learning, and we are hoping to get as many pre-primary and primary children seen for eye examinations as possible! Please share this information with teachers and parents! We have optometrists across the province who are participating in the program.
A list of participating offices and more information can be found at our website:

Thank you for your consideration. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
